Terms & Conditions 

 
Curtains, Blinds and Bespoke Soft Furnishings

  1. First Step - visit to discuss your project.   A conversation before I visit may have given me enough information to bring exactly what you're looking for with me.  Some items like roller or vision blinds can be decided there and then, but others will either require a second visit from me or an appointment to look through design books in Chalfont St Giles.

  2. A quotation will be produced and until it is signed off, each element can be changed to reach your budget.

  3. Deposit and Production Timeline

    If you accept the quote and wish to proceed, a 50% deposit will be required before production is started.

    • Hand-made blinds and curtains: Production typically takes 4-6 weeks.

    • Other blinds: Production usually takes 2-3 weeks.

      Please note that these timelines depend on the availability of your chosen fabric and approval from our maker's quality control team.

  4. Payment Methods

    If you're unable to pay by bank transfer, I can accept Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Solo, and Delta as valid methods of payment.

  5. Returns and Balance Payments

    All items are made to measure and cannot be returned. Full payment is required.

    Balance payments are due on the last working day before the scheduled fitting.

  6. Delays

    While I strive to meet the specified timelines, delays may occur due to external factors such as supplier issues. I will make every effort to keep you informed of any delays and progress updates.

  7. Window Specifications

    Every window presents its own unique challenges. I will discuss any potential issues thoroughly before proceeding with production.

  8. Cancellation Policy - For made to measure window treatments, once the solution has been approved and materials ordered, cancellations may not be possible, and any deposit made is non-refundable due to the bespoke nature of the work.

 

Design Help & Advisory Services

  1. Whilst I specialise in Soft Furnishings I also offer design help and advice, including assistance with colour schemes, lighting solutions, furniture selection, organisation and even de-cluttering. 

  2. Fees for design assistance:-

  • Local first visits/consultations are free. Anything over 5 miles will incur a £50 fee, half of which will be put against the project budget should you decide to go ahead

  • Half-Day Rate (4 hours): £90 for more extensive consultations or ongoing support.

  • Full-Day Rate (7-8 hours): £150 for a full day of design assistance, which may include site visits, research, and design planning or action.

  1. Hourly Rate: £30 per hour for consultations or smaller tasks.
  2. Payment Terms​

  • Once we have met I will create a plan of action and a quotation. 

  • If you wish to go ahead, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed fee is required. The remaining balance is payable upon completion of the service.
